Coaching is education and accountability. It is not medical care, and it does not replace your doctor or a registered dietitian.
What coaching is not
Nothing on this site or in a session is a diagnosis, a treatment, or medical, dietetic or psychological advice. Our coaches are not your clinicians and do not have access to your medical records.
Talk to a doctor first if
- You have a heart, lung, metabolic or blood-pressure condition, or are being treated for one.
- You are pregnant, recently postpartum, or under treatment for an injury.
- You take medication that affects heart rate, blood sugar, hydration or appetite.
- You have been told by a clinician to limit exercise, or you are unsure for any reason.
We will ask about these at the consultation, and we would rather delay your start than have you begin without the conversation.
Eating and weight
We do not prescribe calorie targets, set weight goals, or work from before-and-after photographs. If something you describe suggests a disordered relationship with food or exercise, we will say so kindly and point you to a clinician rather than coach you through it.
Stop and get help if
You have chest pain, unusual breathlessness, dizziness or fainting during exercise. Stop, get assessed, and do not resume until a clinician says you can. Tell us, and your plan will be waiting when you come back.
